When Hidden-Palace released this disc, many folks were asking about the music in the disc, particularly a a very short jingle based on Green Hill Zone from Sonic 1.
I looked into it real quick, and it seems the entirety of it (minus whatever was just FMV) is CD audio, and specially mixed for the demo. Even the sound effects are baked into the CD audio itself.
This is a quick recording of the tracks. Track 4 starts at 1:22 and is the Green Hill-based track. Other tracks are also littered with Sonic sounds if you listen.
