Been a while since I tried playing a Saturn demo, has it?
A bit back, searching the deep dark depths of baidu, I found a download for this demo of Virtua Fighter for Sega Saturn. I finally managed to download it. This recording was done in Kronos.
So, the demo differences, at least as far as I'm CERTAIN this recording:
CPU mode only goes up to Sarah before kicking you out.
other differences unknown - every playable character is present, and even the Saturn version DURAL code works, as is demonstrated in the video.
However, um.... I'm gonna ASSUME this is an emulation bug, but for some reason when I tried playing this, there was a bug where a single blow could warp the opponent across the map as if they were sent flying from a megaton punch! It's pretty funny - until your opponent rings you out with it!
This is allegedly a Japanese demo, so I've been trying to see if I can find any info on, say, a "Virtua Fighter Taikenban" or such. Based on early research, this may be "Virtua Fighter Mihonban Hibaihin (バーチャファイター 見本盤 非売品)." but I can't confirm as such.
